Position Overview
Hatz.ai is an engineering-first company building practical AI products that teams can trust. We are looking for frontend and full-stack engineering interns who are excited to help shape our early product, move fast with a small team, and learn what it takes to ship software end-to-end.
You’ll work closely with engineers and product partners to build polished user experiences, improve performance and reliability, and turn real customer problems into shipped features. Our stack today includes TypeScript, Next, Python, FastAPI, and AWS.
Key Responsibilities
Build performant, beautiful, and usable interfaces for AI-powered workflows.
Ship production features in cross-functional teams.
Talk to (or learn from) customer-facing teammates and help translate feedback into product improvements.
Improve developer experience, testing, and tooling so we can scale the codebase and ship faster.
Write clear documentation so your work is easy to maintain and iterate on.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Currently pursuing a B.S./B.A. (or higher) in Computer Science or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date between 2026–2028.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript/Python, and attention to detail
Experience building web applications (coursework, internships, or side projects all count).
Familiarity with modern frontend & backend concepts (component architecture, state management, async data fetching).
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where you will learn quickly and iterate often.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Good to Have Skills
Use AI to code/build regularly
Have built AI apps, especially agents/chatbots
Experience with common patterns for performance and accessibility.
Familiarity with testing tools (unit/integration/e2e) and CI.
Curiosity about AI product development, including evaluation, reliability, and responsible use.
