Hatz AI Use Case Contest: By MSPs, For SMBs
Hatz AI

The Next Wave of AI Adoption Is Coming Through the MSP Channel — Are You Ready to Build?
No one is debating whether small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) will use AI. There's no question anymore that the average professional sees AI's value and is exploring AI platforms and tools. The questions that remain are:
Are they using AI securely?
Who are they paying for AI? OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, or their trusted advisors who already work diligently to protect their data?
Who's going to build impactful AI agents and workflows, and guide their implementation?
That's exactly why we're launching the MSP Master AI Builders Contest — a LEGO-inspired, creative, competitive challenge for MSPs to build the best AI use cases for their SMB clients, show them off, and win . . . big.
Think LEGO Masters meets managed services; we’re aiming for creativity, craftsmanship, and the thrill of building something real from scratch. Except instead of plastic bricks, you're snapping together prompts, tools, and workflows that change how businesses operate. The best builders earn prizes, get featured across Hatz channels, and walk away with the title of Master AI Builder.

Why A Use Case Contest?
Here's the stat that catalyzed this contest:
MSPs who use AI internally are 10x more likely to add AI as a service (and open a brand-new line of recurring revenue) than peers who don't.
That's not a prediction we're making. It’s data pulled right from Hatz’s community of more than 1,000 MSP partners.
The MSPs who have opened the largest AI practices are definitively not the most technical, software development-minded shops. They’re the ones with broad AI adoption internally, with employees across sales, support, operations, and finance using simple – but meaningful – AI workflows daily.
They're the MSPs who became the AI shop before they tried to sell it.
We’re halfway through 2026. AI has moved from "something to explore" to something embedded in the daily operations of mid-market and SMB companies alike. Paid AI tooling is growing across every industry vertical, with 50% of business already paying SOMEONE for AI. Ask yourself, is your MSP benefiting from this, or are you still stuck in 2025’s explore phase?
Hatz believes that the next major wave of AI adoption won't come from enterprise IT departments or venture-backed tech teams. It will run through the channel. Through MSPs. Through you.
SMBs need a co-pilot for AI — someone to build it, govern it, and make it stick. This is the MSP opportunity of the decade. This contest is your chance to prove you're ready to own it.
What Is the MSP Master AI Builders Contest?
It starts with a simple idea and ends with big prizes.
Build an AI use case for an SMB client. Film it. Publish it. Post it.
Just like a LEGO set, every piece is required. A missing piece means an incomplete build:
A Use Case — A specific AI solution an SMB would genuinely benefit from. Name the business type, the problem, and the solution.
A Video Recording — 2–3 minutes (5 max). Show the tool or workflow in action — not just slides. Walk through the WHO, WHAT, and WHY.
A LinkedIn Post — Live and public, including the video, tagging @Hatz AI, @Hatzell and using the hashtag #MSPAIMasterBuilders.
Published to the Hatz Community Page — Your use case must be live on the Discover page before you submit.
The WHO / WHAT / WHY Framework
Every great submission answers three questions — in the video, the LinkedIn post, and on the Community page:
WHO: What type of SMB is this for? What industry? What size? What role benefits most?
WHAT: What does the AI actually do? What tool or workflow powers it?
WHY: Why would someone use this use case? What's the ROI? Time saved? Money saved? Errors reduced? Client experience improved?
This isn't about abstract AI theory. It's about real problems real businesses face every day — and showing, concretely, how AI solves them.

Not Sure What to Build? Start Here.
If you're staring at a blank screen, ask yourself:
What's a repetitive task your clients hate doing?
What takes way too long in their business right now?
What do they always forget to follow up on?
What report or document do they create manually every week?
That's your use case. AI doesn't have to be exotic to be valuable. The best builds will be the ones that make someone watching think, "My clients need that."
And don't worry about being on camera. A screen recording with a voiceover is completely fine. Keep it tight, keep it focused, and let the work speak for itself.
If you need a hand, jump into Hatz LAB, MSP Admin Training, or AI Navigator Training — or just ask AI.
What This Contest Is Really About
Beyond the prizes and the competition, the MSP Master AI Builders Contest is about something bigger: building the library of proven, practical AI use cases the SMB market desperately needs — and putting MSPs at the center of that story.
Every submission adds a real, vetted use case to the Hatz Community Discover page. Every LinkedIn post creates organic proof that the channel is leading on AI. Every video is a demonstration that MSPs aren't just resellers — they're builders. Your clients need an implementation partner.
That partner is you. Now go build something.
Submit all of your pieces here!
Deadline: June 30th. Submissions must include a completed use case, a 2–5 minute video, a live LinkedIn post with #MSPAIMasterBuilders, and a published entry on the Hatz Community Discover page. This contest is limited to residents with in the continental United States. Questions? Ask your Hatz rep.
